Guam - The Guam Police Department's Highway Patrol Division is investigating another traffic-related fatality. This marks the third such tragic incident this week. According to Guam Fire Department Spokesperson Capt. Andy Arceo the Jaws of Life were used to pull the victim out of the car.

The victim slammed into a concrete utility pole near the Santa Teresita Church in Mangilao.  Motorists should expect traffic delays.

Both south and northbound lanes from Price Elementary School towards the GCC traffic light just before Winchell's were blocked off. As of 6:30am police reopened two lanes to allow traffic to proceed while they conduct their investigation.

GPD noted that a man, 49, died at 6:20 this morning as a result of the crash. This incident is the fifth traffic fatality for 2011.
