Guam - A man believed to be in his 50s or 60s has become the second traffic-related death this week. Police say the man was apparently crossing the street from the old Cinema Theater in Tamuning area towards Pacific Finance Center early this morning when he was struck by a pickup truck being driven by a 52-year-old Yigo man.
Police say the driver was heading southbound in the middle lane when he struck the pedestrian. The victim was reported to be non-responsive to medics at the scene and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:45am. GPD's Highway Patrol Division is investigating the fatal accident. No arrests have been made yet.
Motorists are urged to proceed with caution, as authorities have closed of portion of the roadway.
