Guam - Several people testified today in support of Joanne Brown to serve as the director of the Department of Public Works. During the former senator's confirmation hearing, participants spoke of her past experience with the University of Guam. She is also described as being the type of person who always does the right thing.

Cil Javier with the Office of Highway Safety says DPW has gone through some positive transformational changes in the past several weeks since Brown has taken the helm. She said, "With no doubt has established her proven track record to reflect her as an individual who is top notch, an innovative strategist, who understands how media, politics and business work and is a respected strategic thinker which we consider is a dyer need asset for DPW."

Brown was also detailed as being an environmentalist and a woman who deals and handles the hard work.
