Guam - The Calvo Administration has announced they have shaved off nearly $1.2 million in government personnel costs - nearly a half-million of that from Governor Eddie Calvo opting not to appoint a fourth of the line agency cabinet positions that were available, and the other $600,000 saved from not filling several positions at Adelup.
The governor said, "We had to set the highest example of fiscal responsibility by cutting positions in our own staff and in our cabinet."
Meanwhile, the Administration released their staffing patterns and cabinet pay listings. As for the Cost Containment and Revenue Enhancement Reports required for directors to submit, they are currently being reviewed.
