GEC staying put at GCIC Building

Guam - Looks like the Guam Election Commission will stay where it is, this after awarding the bid for a new lease to their current landlords at the GCIC Building in Hagatna. Today was the deadline for the agency to secure the agreement and according to GEC executive director John Blas, they are just finalizing the paperwork.

"In speaking with the landlord because already we are in that process of signing off on a new lease that pretty much puts us in a better position then if we didn't have one at all," he said.

In the meantime also from the GEC, this Friday is the last day for registered voters to submit a letter of interest if they would like to serve as the board's independent member.
