Cyclist, 19, injured after hitting truck

Guam - The Guam Fire Department responded to an accident near Takano Road in Yigo at around 7pm Sunday. According to GFD Spokesperson Joey San Nicolas, the crash involved a bike and a vehicle. A man was transported to the Guam Memorial Hospital by the Advance Life Support Unit.

Nursing supervisor Sally Quichocho says a male, 19, was brought in after he struck a pickup while on his bike. She says the individual remains in stable condition and is being evaluated in the Emergency Room.

The Guam Police indicated that the man had severe head trauma and that the truck was driven by a 70-year-old woman.
