Guam - 54-year-old Edward Megofna was supposed to be sentenced today but the matter was continued until next month. Megofna pleaded guilty to aggravated murder for his involvement in the killing of Heun Sun Kennedy back in 1998. He admitted to helping Luis DeLeon Guerrero with the homicide.
The sentencing was continued because Megofna's defense attorney is currently off-island.
Megofna is now scheduled to appear back in court on February 4 for his sentencing before Superior Court Judge Anita Sukola.
