Guam - The Guam Memorial Hospital is waiting to hear back from the Joint Commission following a surprise survey conducted last week. A lone representative interviewed staff, doctors, and patients and their families in an effort to determine if the level of care being provided to patients meets accreditation standards.
In recent months, GMH has been under fire for its critical state with vendors threatening to cut services and products because of non payment. The Joint Commission is expected to report back on the hospital's evaluation in the next two weeks.
