Bordallo selected as ranking member

Guam - The Democrat serving on the House Armed Services Committee has selected Guam congressional delegate Madeleine Bordallo as the ranking member of the Subcommittee on Readiness for the 112th Congress. As the ranking member, Congresswoman Bordallo is the subcommittee's most senior Democratic representative. 

The subcommittee on readiness has oversight jurisdiction over military readiness, training, logistics and maintenance issues and programs. The subcommittee is also responsible for all military construction, depot policy, civilian personnel policy, environmental policy, installations and family housing issues, including the base closure process, and energy policy and programs of the Department of Defense.  

In addition to her position on the HASC, Bordallo will also retain her position as a member of the House Committee on Natural Resources.
