Tenorio honors Yomiuri Giants

Guam - Lieutenant Governor Ray Tenorio presented an honorary and ceremonial Ambassador of Goodwill Award to Shinnosuke Abe of Japan's Yomiuri Giants. Abe, who is the captain, has been advocating for the Giants to train on Guam during the winter for several years.

The Giants are pioneers in Guam's young sports tourism industry. Abe has been training here for the past several years during winter and brought along a couple of teammates along this time around. Lt. Governor Tenorio presented the award on behalf of Governor Calvo Sunday at the Tamuning Baseball Field.
