Guam - Six male minors were injured in a car crash in Dededo. The Guam Police Department's Highway Patrol Division was activated to the recreational crash. Sergeant Mike Aguon says the six were riding in a Toyota Tundra when the driver decided to go off Route 9 and to a grassy embankment area.  Police say five boys were riding inside the cab while one male minor was riding in the bed of the truck.

They crashed into a concrete utility pole, ripping much of the truck's left side into pieces.

The impact of the collision caused the minor in the bed of the truck to be thrown several feet.  Police say five minors were taken to the Guam Memorial Hospital where one is said to have serious injuries. Traffic investigators are trying to determine if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.

They also say the six were believed to have been skipping school.
