Quintanilla assumes vice-mayorship of Agat

by Nick Delgado

Guam - The only mayoral swearing-in ceremony on Inauguration Day was down in the village of Agat, as Agustin Quintanilla was sworn-in as that village's vice-mayor.  Accompanied by family, friends and colleagues, Quintanilla will serve for the next two years.

He announced, "I have to work harder and show the people what kind of a vice-mayor I am and to push the things that need to be done in Agat and to promote the quality of life and take care of the youth."

Quintanilla was appointed to the position last year after the untimely passing of Jesus Chaco.
