Guam - The Department of Corrections is pinching its pennies to get the remaining $1.2million owed in overtime paid out to its officers. DepCor Acting Director Lieutenant Antone Aguon says some good news is that they were able to decrease the amount of overtime being worked.
He says the result is that the agency was able to pay the just more than $39,000 accrued this past pay period. Aguon says overtime every pay period this past year has added up to between $80,000 and $100,000.
He says he is confident that the overtime hours will continue to drop, as they continue to look for the remaining funds owed.
