Underwood confirmed for national edu-board

Guam - Dr. Robert Underwood, the president of the University of Guam, has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate to be a member of the board of directors of the National Board for Education Sciences. Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo said, "Dr. Underwood has been a lifelong advocate for education on Guam and I am confident that he will represent our region well and will help contribute to the national improvement of our education systems."

Dr. Underwood says he is pleased to have this opportunity to represent the educational interests for our Pacific island region.
