Guam - A graduation ceremony is being held today for over 230 students at the University of Guam. The number of graduates has increased by 38% from last year.

English literature major Kimberly Hawko is UOG's valedictorian. She moved to Guam from Ohio in 2007 to live with her father, who serves in the U.S. Coast Guard.

In the meantime, Rear Admiral Peter Gumataotao was the keynote speaker. He pre-recorded his message, which was shown this afternoon during the ceremony at the UOG Field House in Mangilao.
