Bug infestation at Wettengel Elementary

by Sabrina Salas Matanane

Guam - Things are buggin' out at Wettengel Elementary School in Dededo. According to principal Melissa Limo, an infestation of what look like small black beetles has been swarming near the cafeteria.

"We're not quite sure what the bug is," she admitted. "All-Star Exterminators have assured us they'll be coming by to fix the situation but they did take samples of the bug up to the University of Guam to find out what type of bug and what type of chemical can be used to exterminate it."

Limo added that the bugs have not been biting students but for the most part have been an inconvenience and annoyance for the staff.
