Guam - Continental Airlines announces that it will operate a charter service of nine roundtrip flights from Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Shenyang in China to Guam during the 2011 Chinese New Year. The airline does report that the flights are subject to government approval.

Continental will be using its Boeing 737 for the route.

Continental's managing director for Asia-Pacific Matt Miller states, "Continental was the first airline to operate non-stop charter service from Mainland China to Guam in 2008...between January and February 2011 we will fly the route for the fourth consecutive year during the Chinese New Year season." He added, "These flights truly demonstrate continental's strong commitment to the Micronesia islands."
