Guam - The 30th Guam Legislature's ethics committee is looking for a new attorney to review the complaint filed by Harold Cruz against Lieutenant Governor-elect Ray Tenorio. Their attorney, Anthony Camacho, had already conducted the review of the complaint at a cost of more than $2,000 to taxpayers but members voted to have him removed from the case because he had contributed to the Calvo-Tenorio campaign and his wife is a member of their transition team.
Democrat members of the ethics panel had concerns about his ability to be impartial. The panel is now looking for an interested locally-licensed attorney to handle the complaint who does not have a possible or potential conflict of interest.
