Man attempts to kidnap girl at Yigo playground

Guam - The Guam Police Department is looking for a man who allegedly tried a kidnap a 3-year-old girl at Perez Acres in Yigo at around 6pm Friday night. According to GPD Spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia, it was reported that the girl and her mother were at the playground not too far away from their unit inside the neighborhood.

The mother had stepped away for a few minutes when a man attempted to take off with her child. The man fled once the child began to scream, and the child was returned to her parents. The suspect is described to have a dark complexion with facial hair, slim build, stands about 5'7", was wearing a black shirt and gray shorts and was walking a small black dog.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Guam Crimestoppers at 477-HELP (4357). The case has been sent to the Criminal Investigation Section.
