New rebar company opens shop in Mangilao

Guam - Guam Rebar Supply, a full-service rebar fabricator, opened its doors to the community today. The event included live demonstrations of its automated rebar processing equipment. The company says it will help Guam save money, time and expedite project schedules and allow contractors to deploy skilled workers to other tasks.

"We're having an open house today. We're putting together a demonstration of our rebar equipment. We cut, we bend, we fabricate out of coil bar instead of straight bar. It's our grand opening. It's the first fabricator on Guam," explained manager Charles Doherty.

Guam Rebar Supply is located along Route 15 in Mangilao, directly across from Hawaiian Rock and specializes in the cutting, bending and assembly of rebar for reinforced concrete construction throughout Micronesia.
