Guam - The Department of Public Health is asking parents whose children attended seven schools last school year (see below) and received a third dose of the Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR) vaccine to please turn in the follow-up survey sent home with their child during the first week of October.

These elementary school were in the seven schools demonstrating the highest attack rates. Over 1,100 children in these schools received the third does of MMR last May. Public Health needs the follow-up surveys to be turned in to help evaluate whether the intervention was successful and whether it should be repeated in future outbreaks.   Since January there have been over 450 cases of the mumps reported on Guam.
