Guam - $2 million from limited obligation highway bonds has been identified to fix school buses. Senator Tom Ada introduced Bill 473 today to reprogram and appropriate the money to refurbish 20 buses and perform overdue preventative maintenance on more than 60 school buses.
Ada says if the measure becomes law, the repairs would have to be completed within 120 days of its passage. Currently, only 41% of the Department of Public Works' fleet of school buses is operational.
