Guam - U.S. Army Private First Class Jaysine Petree has returned home. She was welcomed by her family and friends early this morning along with dozens of others in the community at the airport hanger. Guam National Guard Major General Donald Goldhorn said a few words during the ceremony, noting, "We must forever honor the sacrifice of our fallen hero, forever honor the sacrifice of her loved ones and forever remember that freedom is not free, welcome home soldier."

The 19-year-old was killed while serving in Afghanistan. She is a 2009 graduate of Simon Sanchez High School and was in the army for just 19 months.

Funeral services are scheduled for tomorrow at the Cathedral Basilica in Hagatna.
