Guam - Despite calls for re-negotiations of the Government of Guam's health insurance plan for the coming fiscal year, the territory's insurance commissioner, John Camacho, says the new plan has already been reviewed and approved. Camacho added that he hadn't seen any problems with the process, also noting that when the process started at the beginning of the year, there were several meetings that were held with consultants, and an RFP went out, and several more meeting were held to negotiate a rate.

He added that while he understands consumers are concerned about the increasing cost of health insurance on the island, Camacho says rates around the nation are going up, as well.
