Guam - Governor Felix Camacho appointed Major Rick Leon Guerrero for a second term as the acting chief of the Guam Police Department. Camacho states, "I want to thank Chief Frank Ishizaki for serving the people of Guahan as acting chief. While I have yet to appoint a permanent police chief, GPD Acting Commander Rick Leon Guerrero will assume the acting chief position until one is appointed."

Ishizaki tells KUAM News that he is proud to be the first reservist in the history of GPD and challenges future chief's to be frugal when they do not have money. He adds, "It's a very demanding and exhausting job and one of the things I will do is to prep my replacement and I continue to do that, I don't think any chief should run forever."

Ishizaki's 90-day appointment expires tomorrow.

Leon Guerrero's acting capacity also takes effect tomorrow.
