Guam - The military buildup dominated discussion when session reconvened today as senators talked about Resolution 444. Senators gave emotional speeches on the buildup and Final Environmental Impact Statement.
The resolution criticizes the Final EIS, the process and limited timeline given to resident to provide comments on the massive document. The resolution expresses to the Obama Administration and Congress the Guam Legislature's concerns about the Final EIS, saying it poorly addresses the concerns of island residents and does not provide solutions that are in the best interest of the U.S. and Guam.
