Geckos' D forces Friars into turnovers

by Dave Delgado

Guam - The George Washington Geckos held it down at home picking up the 28-21 win against the Father Duenas Friars in their IFL matchup. GW's defense came up with key turnovers to set up drives that eventually put them in good field position to move the ball and get into the endzone.

G-Dub's Keanu Lujan went in for the Geckos first score of the game, followed by Valiant Borja who went in for the second score of the night on a 7-yard grab, followed by Nathan Cruz who ran one in from 5-yards out after teammate Donaven Cruz picked off Brian Romero's throw.

Romero led the Friars in the loss with over 140 yards passing with a stellar touchdown throw.
