Guam - September has been declared Suicide Prevention Month. Governor's chief of staff George Bamba was on hand for today's proclamation, which already been signed by the governor. Numerous activities have been planned for the month including a suicide prevention forum scheduled for this evening at the University of Guam.
Tomorrow marks World Suicide Prevention Day, and suicide intervention training will be conducted over the next week. A candlelight vigil service will be held next Saturday, September 18 at the Micronesia Mall in memory of those who died from suicide.
