Guam - The Governor's Office today submitted the application for the $20 million that Guam is eligible for from the Education Job Fund. The Department of Education sent its request for the funds to Adelup about two weeks ago, hoping to use the funds to avoid from closing down schools.
DOE Superintendent Dr. Nerissa Bretania Underwood says the funds have also been combined with DOE's 2011 budget. She says they also hope to use the money to retain employee positions at the school level.
