GFD battles structure fire in Tamuning

Guam - The Guam Fire Department was called to a reported structure fire at Star Press behind the ITC Building In Tamuning on Monday evening. GFD acting spokesperson Specialist Philip Camacho says the initial call came in at 6:34pm of smoke and flame sightings. He says Engine 1 and 3, Scout 2, Rescue 1 and 2, Medic 5 and the Advanced Life Support unit were all activated to the scene.

Firefighters were able to gain entry and had the fire under control as of 7:12pm. The Guam Police Were also at the site providing perimeter patrol. Camacho says no injuries were reported and the extent of the damage is unknown at this time.

He says arson investigators will also be called in to determine the exact cause of the blaze.
