New book tells Madeleine Bordallo’s story

by Michele Catahay

Guam - Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo is a woman with a lot of history. She has witnessed major events in Guam's history alongside her late husband, former governor Ricky Bordallo. To document her years in many capacities, a book entitled "Madeleine: A Tribute in Photographs" was recently unveiled to highlight her life through pictures.

Bordallo said, "Finally I gave in and said, 'Those are my albums, these are my cabinets'. In those days, we keep all our photographs. Nowadays we don't do that anymore. They're all computerized or what have you. She was in my office I guess weeks, months on the floor scanning everything because I don't want anything to walk away. So this book was put together."

Proceeds from the book will go to the Guam Museum Foundation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
