Guam - As a result of multiple concerns raised during last night's public hearing on the Chamorro Land Trust Commission's rules and regulations governing its commercial lease program, on session floor today Senator Ben Pangelinan asked for his colleagues support in the passage of Resolution 427. The resolution would essentially disapprove the rules and regs and send them back to the CLTC board to make revisions that address the myriad of concerns raised last night.

Lawmakers are up against a deadline of September 10 to finalize the rules and regs or they will lapse into law the way they are currently.  After concerns were raised by senators, Pangelinan decided to withdraw the resolution, leaving lawmakers the task of revising the rules and regs.

Bill 422 was subsequently moved to the Third Reading File.
