Guam - While KUAM News' Community Caucus event was taking place in Dededo, Acting Governor Mike Cruz evidently was in Hagatna instead. Cruz signed Bill 179 into law, allowing the governor to borrow up to $25,000,000 to acquire, construct, and equip an educational cultural facility for the purpose of preserving the Chamorro culture.
The signing ceremony was held today at the Hall of Governors at Adelup. Also held simultaneously with the signing was a workshop on historic preservation law lead by archeologist Dr. Thomas King.
The workshops were held to prepare our specialists for the construction related to the buildup.
