Guam - A private investigator that was convicted by a Superior Court jury in May on charges of theft by deception as a 2nd degree felony was sentenced this morning before Judge Michael Bordallo. Albert Topasna was sentenced to five years in prison with all but 60 days suspended.
Topasna was accused for selling land that he neither owned nor had the rights to. According to the Attorney General's Office, an individual paid Topasna $12,500 in return for a purported warranty deed signed by Topasna.
