GALC board OKs transfer of property

by Sabrina Salas Matanane

Guam - During Wednesday afternoon's Guam Ancestral Lands Commission board meeting, members decided to move forward with following public law authorizing the agency to transfer property from FAA and Andy South to Tiyan landowners. The law, signed on July 13, gave GALC 180 days to issue estate deeds.

The decision to move forward was made despite a class action lawsuit filed by other original landowners who felt the Tiyan deal is unfair because the trust should benefit everyone, not just a few.
