Guam - The U.S. Government will be seeking a reduction in Robert Sherry's sentence.  The government has one year after sentencing to make such a motion depending on the defendant's substantial assistance with investigations or the prosecution of another person.

Sherry was sentenced to 97 months behind bars back in February after admitting to being involved in a conspiracy to distribute more than 50 grams of the drug Ice.   According to court documents, Sherry was brought to Guam to testify against Andres Sotelo, who later pled guilty. He is also scheduled to testify against Gina Medina, also charged with drug distribution.

The government has asked that the reduction in sentence hearing be scheduled after Medina's case is complete.
