EPA rates an alarming 20 beaches unsafe

Guam - If you plan to hit the beaches this weekend, keep in mind that the Guam Environmental Protection Agency has deemed several island beaches as polluted. They are Dungca's Beach, Sleepy Lagoon, East Hagatna Bay, Alupang Towers Beach, East Hagatna Bay, Trinchera Beach, Padre Palomo Park Beach, Adelup Beach Park, Asan Bay Beach, Santos Memorial Park, Togcha Beach, Agat Park Beach, Bangi Beach, Nimitz Beach, Umatac Bay, Toguan Bay, Merizo Pier, Inarajan Pool, Inarajan Bay, and Talofofo Bay.

Swimming or fishing in these waters could cause illnesses such as sore throat and diarrhea.
