Guam - Former Guam Federation of Teachers steward Carol Somerfleck sought some answers from the executive council during a meeting held last week. Her request for information on the GFT credit card asked the union to provide statements of that card from the last year.

Members said GFT president Matt Rector is the only who with the authority to make charges. In addition, Somerfleck said with new field representative Jonathan Diaz declaring his intention to run for senator, would union assets be used to support his candidacy? According to Somerfleck, she was told the council doesn't have any knowledge on any requests made to support Diaz.

Somerfleck also had specific questions related to GFT elections.
