Guam - An 11-year-old boy is in stable condition at the Guam Memorial Hospital after he was struck by a car this afternoon. Highway Patrol Division officers with the Guam Police Department responded to the auto-pedestrian accident near the Royal Hawaiian Apartments in Tamuning.
GPD Spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia says the boy ran across Marine Corps Drive towards Denny's and then turned and tried to go back when he was struck by a Nissan Sentra driven by a 49-year-old Dededo man.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. In the meantime, a GMH nursing supervisor says the boy is set to be discharged later today.
