Gutierrez/Aguon files gubernatorial candidacy

by Mindy Aguon

Guam - Flanked by their supporters and family, the Democrat team of Carl Gutierrez and Frank Aguon, Jr., made their way to the Guam Election Commission offices in Hagatna this afternoon, filing their candidacy for governor and lieutenant governor. With the campaign slogan "Together We Can", the duo is hoping to still be the one to lead the island.

It appears they will be the only Democrat gubernatorial team, which means that if no one files they'll square off in the Decision 2010 General Election with the Republican winners.  So far the team of Eddie Calvo and Ray Tenorio have filed their candidacy, while their GOP opponents, Mike Cruz and Jim Espaldon have announced their candidacy but have yet to file with the GEC.
