Guam - The Guam Education Policy Board met Monday night during a work session to discuss recommendations noted in the Evergreen Management audit. Chairperson Ron Ayuyu says the Department of Education management team was present and answered questions pertaining to recommendations implemented thus far.

He says they were able to discuss the issue of the department having too many assistant principals. He says a lot of work needs to be done, saying, "We need to be very careful looking through the Evergreen [audit] and see what is the best solution. And this solution has to come from the management team from downtown and present it to the board for review and approval. So it's very critical that we don't jump with the issue. We just need to go item by item," he said.

The board is expected to further discuss the audit during its regularly scheduled meeting tomorrow. The meeting gets underway at 6pm at the DOE Conference Room in Hagatna.
