Guam - The Guam Fire Department now has a total of five ambulances servicing the entire island. GFD Spokesperson Joey San Nicolas says units are stationed in Yigo, Barrigada, Agat, Inarajan and Tamuning. The island spent almost the entire week with only four medics as the fifth unit was undergoing air conditioning repairs.

San Nicolas says the fire department is waiting for a response on the purchase orders from Fleet Services and Triple J to start using the funds to repair the units.  Recent legislation freed up cash from the FLAME Fund for the department to begin the process to have the units that have been in the shop for the past year repaired.
