Guam - Senator Rory Respicio continues his apparent crusade to have the administrator of the Guam Environmental Protection Agency removed from her position. The chairman of the Legislative Committee on Natural Resources wrote Acting Governor Mike Cruz on Wednesday, formally requesting that he relieve Lorilee Crisostomo of her duties.
The senator said her leadership has the agency falling behind each day, adding "There are alarm bells sounding in Guam and they are ringing because of the lack of leadership". Senator Respicio stated that Crisostomo during last week's oversight hearing was placing the blame everywhere but with herself. He is asking the acting governor to take action and to act decisively.
The Democrat said, "I'm hoping the acting governor will step in and recognize the crisis, that we agree is a crisis of paramount concern from the Legislature's perspective...I'm asking the acting governor to see this problem for what it really is and how this administrator is trying to handle the problem by pointing the finger at everyone but her."
