Southern water line breaks, big outages ensue

by Lannie Walker

Guam - More residents down south are without water today, as a 12-inch water line has been busted. According to Guam Waterworks Authority Spokesperson Heidi Ballendorf, because the island is experiencing a dry season, the lines are dry. She says she expects similar situations occur in other parts of the island because of this very reason.

Areas affected include the entire village of Talofofo, Cross-Island Road, Windward Hills, Baza Gardens and surrounding homes near Southern High School and Truman Elementary School.

The Department of Education will be releasing students attending Truman Elementary (11am), Southern High (11:45am) and Talofofo Elementary (12pm).
