Guam - Even after it was brought to light during yesterday's oversight hearing that Police Officer Trainee John Edwards did not pass his polygraph examination as the test results were determined to be inconclusive, he remains an employee of the Guam Police Department.  GPD Spokesperson Officer Mercy Grino says until a review is done on whether Edwards actually met all of the qualifications, he remains on staff with the agency.

She could not provide any other information, since the matter is a personnel one.  Edwards has been assigned to the Records and ID Section to learn the police writing and report programs.

The law requires all individuals hired to be police officers to meet a number of qualifications that include submitting to and passing a polygraph examination.
