Guam - A man is dead as a result of head-on car collision in Dededo this morning, according to GPD spokesperson A.J. Balajadia.  A 1987 Nissan Versa traveling north bound on Ysengsong Street collided with a Toyota Tercel, also reportedly heading north.

Rescue officials employed the Jaws of Life device to pry the man from his Toyota.  The victim is reported to be a 45-year-old Filipino man.  He was transported the Guam Memorial Hospital in Tamuning, but was declared dead on arrival.  The driver of the Nissan, a 61-year-old woman, was conscious when she was transported to Naval Hospital in Agana Heights.

Traffic has been blocked-off by the Guam Police Department on both lanes of Ysengsong Street in front of Parks Market.
