Guam - The Legislative Committee on Economic Development will hold a public hearing this evening on a pair of bills dealing with the island's utilities. Bills 365 and 368 would provide revenue bonds for the Guam Waterworks Authority and the Guam Power Authority, respectively.

GPA plans to use the money to fund their Smart Grid Project, as well as for other upgrades with transmission and distribution. The public hearing, at 6pm, will be held at the Legislature's Public Hearing Room in Hagatna.
