Rescuers make final effort to find Henry Lowary

by Nick Delgado

Guam - Rescue officials are giving it one more try to find the body of spearfisherman Henry Lowary. The Guam Fire Department had intended to terminate the search Sunday evening, however, GFD Spokesperson Joey San Nicolas says upon cleaning up the search area, officials found a spear they believe may belong to Lowary.

Therefore, the search has been extended for an additional day.

On Friday, officials pulled the lifeless body of Paul Monkeyan, who had gone spearfishing with Lowary and another man, from the waters off Ipan.  The third man was able to return to shore.

San Nicolas says Lowary will be considered lost at sea if the rescue teams search efforts are unsuccessful.
