Guam - Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority director Benny Pinaula is taking some time off.  Currently on leave from the agency, Pinaula confirms he has not tendered his resignation and was not asked by the board to resign.

The director says he does intend to resign for personal reasons sometime next month.   Pinaula has been with the agency for more than five years and has been instrumental in bringing millions of federal dollars to the island for various community related projects.

GHURA deputy director Ray Blas is currently running the agency.
