Guam - The island will be bustling with more tourists than usual next week with 18 extra charter flights scheduled from Japan to Guam for Golden Week. The Guam Visitors Bureau estimates that the island will see about 33,000 visitors next week - a 6.5% increase over arrivals last year.
Golden Week begins tomorrow with the Japanese Showa Day and continues through next week with several additional holidays. Charter flights will arrive from Narita, Kansai, Nagoya, Haneda, Fukuoka and Sendai, among other markets.
